Our Mission

Our purpose is to rescue underprivileged, unwanted dogs, and strengthen the human-animal bond in our community by educating the public about animal welfare.

Our Story

Fur-Angel Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The foundation was established in October 2014 by a small group of friends who had a passion for helping the community, while also making a difference in the individual lives of animals and people. We operate within a foster network of trusted volunteers that share the same passion in giving dogs a chance at a life full of love. Through daily interaction with their foster family, FAF dogs receive indirect training, as well as lots of personal attention to help rebuild the trust that is often broken in rescue animals. We are honored to be considered as an alternative to the traditional shelter, offering our dogs experience with socialization and life-skills which help ease the process of transitioning into a fur-ever home.

Our Goal

Our goal is to find loving, suitable fur-ever homes for Hawaii’s less fortunate dogs. We believe that through the help of the community we will be able to help those who are unable to help themselves. We strive to find fur-ever homes for our dogs, with the intent of keeping them from ever re-entering the shelter system.  At FAF, we believe that through daily interaction with their foster family, FAF dogs receive the life skills they will need post adoption.

A perk of our mission is that we also get to connect with amazing people who are just like us! Animal lovers who want to contribute positively to the community!
Cleaning, feeding, spending time with, and also making sure all of our pups are healthy is a big job! We have wonderful volunteers that assist us with picking up and dropping off pups to medical appointments, picking up donations, planning events, and more!  It’s a lot of fun, so if you’re interested email furangelfoundation@gmail.com for more info.

We also have a foster-care program, where we place our healthy pups waiting to find their furever homes, with families who want to play, feed, and care for them until that time.
Applications can be found on the  "ADOPT" & "FOSTER" tabs.
